I heard Lita is retiring too soon. Is this true?

Not retiring... more like, not being renewed.
Her contract expires in October, and at this point the company seems to think she has lived out her usefullness.
Sources tell me Lita will drop the title to Trish in Toronto, allowing Trish to retire as champ and have Lita fade into the background....

So no more womens title? Maybe she will give it to someone. Possibly Layla. But she won't do much in WWE.

Ya there'd be a womens title they'd vacate it then have a tournament - or more like a bra and panties battle royal - some dumb ass nuts like that...

Whats with the WWE giving the powder to some of it's most gifted atheletes. Sure Lita has some ring rust, but she's one of the few decent managers they have going and she works perfectly with Edge. I love Edge, but his persona wouldn't be complete without a tastelessly dressed woman at his side. Well, I know TNA's next acquisition.
Every time WWE lets someone go because they've "outlived their usefullness" they lose depth and experience and add to the amazing roster of TNA. And lets not forget it took YEARS to work these stars to the point of immediate recognition, and each time they give up on that they lose something very important - legitimacy. Every passing year WWE loses more superstars; replacing them with people who could be superstars one day (if they gave them time enough to develop)
This process makes them look more used up and TNA looks more like a talent-juggernaut

I heard Lita was going to retire and start up a punk band and try to get into TV and movies.
I think either Mickie James or Beth Phoenix will get the ladies' title in a a battle royal or a tournament. I think they are the two best ladies' wrestlers today with Victoria being number 3.

Lita leaving the WWE isn't going to be as big of a deal as everyone thinks.
Even whe she was at her best (which wasn't that great to begin with), she was still sloppy. Going to TNA wouldn't do her any better than staying at the E.
As for the women's title, give it to someone like Victoria....hell, just give it to Victoria period.

That would be cool if maybe if it was not only Trish's last match but Lita's also.

Thats a load Jeter, do you even remember her main event match against Trish Stratus on Raw a few years back? Best pure wrestled Divas match I can think of off the top of my head. Sure it wasnt perfectly clean, but when you take risks and try for something big-- that happens.
