i was in the gym tonight and some random dude started talking to me about wrestling and mentioned that his favorite wrestler of all time was don muraco. i propose that each of us true wrestling fans leave one memory of the magnificent one in tribute to one of the all time greats.

well i know that paying tribute to a true wwe legend isn't as fun as saying cena sucks for the 2,000th time, but i assumed at least one of you would take time out of your busy scedules to put the original rock over. i was wrong. therefore, i will attempt to jumpstart this thread by posting the obvious muraco memory... his cage match with snuka at msg was not only the inspiration that gave the world mick foley, not only one of the greatest cage matches of all time, not only one of the best high spots of all time, but one of the greatest wrestling matches of all time period. the storytelling alone was off the charts. you could feel the hatred, desire, and electricity from both competitors. amazing... now back to your regularly scheduled john cena hater anonymous meeting...

I've met Muraco a few times. Class act.
An unbelievable power house.
He was one of my favs as a kid. He was the first one I can remember finishing matches with the Inverted Piledriver - known today as the Tombstone.
His feud with Ricky Steamboat was awesome.
